Snow, snow, and more snow. When in Rome, build snowmen. That's right, instead of moaning and whining about the near record snowfall totals (Al Gore, has anyone seen Al Gore, paging Mr. Gore), the Seeley family has taken it in stride and documented said activity heavily, as next year (and the two after that) there will be no snow. The attached pic was taken before three days with 12 inches, 10 inches, and 8 inches. We thought it was quite a bit, but when we traveled to Madison, WI to see our friend Ellen (and beau Matt, good guy), they actually had more on the ground. I believe that I've heard Madison has had about 100 inches of snowfall since New year's day. Fortunately there was enough snow on the ground that when daddy was carrying Juliann and fell on a patch of ice, the three foot snow bank provided ample cushion for the un-supported duff. Juliann liked it so much that she laughed and promptly stated "Again Daddy, again!". Good stuff. Ellen finished up the weekend right by taking us to a German restaurant that served some pretty good chow and even better beir vom fass, Prost!, Zum Wohl! Juliann polka'd the night away, soon becoming the main attraction in the very large, very busy eatery. Almost as fun as watching Juliann dance was listening to the band churn out "In Heaven There is NO BEER!". What a great song to hear in downtown Madison, heart of badger-land.
